Our rooms
With an area of 20 square meters, ceilings over three meters high and two bright windows overlooking the garden, Mathilde's bedroom is quite large! Thanks to its wood flooring and period furniture, it has the charm of the rooms of yesteryear with the added comfort of a queen-size bed, a large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, and a spacious dressing area. In the lounge area by the window, a tray with a kettle and assorted teas is at your disposal. You can enjoy the room’s TV and Wi-Fi access.
La Chambre d'Henry
This 27 square meter room on the garden level is extended by a terrace facing south, perfect for working or relaxing in the sun! It has a queen-size bed, an en-suite shower room, separate WC and a lounge area with a kettle and assorted teas. The Empire-period desk offers you a vast work area. Beautiful high ceilings, exposed beams, "workshop style" windows, TV and Wi-Fi access. A haven of peace, ideal for a stopover in Angers or for a professional stay.
La Chambre de Joséphine
Bright and spacious with its 18 square meter area, with a queen-size bed, a dressing room and an adjoining bathroom with large shower and toilet, this room offers you a pleasant rest in the very heart of the city. From the second floor of the house, the unobstructed view allows a beautiful perspective on our own garden and the adjoining gardens as well. In the lounge area, a tray with a kettle and assorted teas is available. The room also offers Wi-Fi access.
La Chambre d'Alexis
This comfortable room of 17 square meters, with easy ground floor access includes a double bed, an adjoining bathroom with shower and toilet and a sitting area with a kettle and assorted teas. Majestic ceiling height, many elements of character (rosette in stucco, chimney, antique wood parquet, period furniture, desk). TV and Wi-Fi access.
La Chambre d'Ernest
The newest of our rooms! Located on the second floor of our house, it has a queen-size bed and includes an adjoining bathroom with shower and toilet, a sitting area with a kettle and assorted teas and a small desk. Engravings and antique furniture coexist in harmony with the TV and Wi-Fi access. Coupled with Josephine's room located on the same floor, it allows you, if desired, to enjoy a family suite.
About us
After 25 years of creating photo essays around the world, I put my suitcases down in Angers and now, it's the world that comes to us! Our guests hail from all continents and I enjoy chatting with them about their country (which I often know). I speak French, English, Russian, as well as Polish, and breakfast time is a privileged moment of exchange, which allows me to use my language skills! As a photographer specializing in cultural heritage sites, I fell in love with the city of Angers and its beautiful limestone buildings. On my wife's side, the Angevin roots date back to the 19th century. We took pleasure in customizing each room by giving it the names of family members: "Mathilde" (my wife's great-great-grandmother), "Alexis" (her husband), "Ernest" (their youngest son, director of the Haras d'Angers at the end of the 19th century), as well as "Josephine" or "Henry". The paintings and many of the objects in the rooms come from this family history. In the living room you will find a piano, a library rich in novels and art books along with many magazines. We are happy to put them at your disposal. You can also pet Myszka, our beloved gray cat. Our greatest delight will be knowing that you feel at home with us.
